12 college degrees give the highest salaries in America


THE US has 12 degrees that help university graduates receive a salary of about 74,000-106,600 USD (1.8-2.6 billion VND) a year, with the top ranking being Electrical Engineering.
 
A report published in early October by the US Census Bureau shows that bachelors in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science both have salaries of over 100,000 USD in 2022. In particular, the salary in Electrical Engineering is slightly higher. with 106,000 USD.
 
A little lower is a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with nearly 99,200 USD a year. Also reaching over 90,000 USD are bachelor's degrees in Engineering, Civil Engineering and Finance.
 
In general, most of the industries with the highest salaries in the US are in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). Other occupations in the top 12 in terms of salary are Economics, Accounting, Marketing, Nursing.

The above results come from a survey by the US Census Bureau in 2022. In particular, this agency statistics the average salary of university graduates (1st degree), between the ages of 25 and 64. , in 34 majors, some of which are listed as "other business bachelor's degrees".
 
The lowest salaries among the 34 industries listed belong to Social Work, Family Science, Consumer Affairs and Primary Education - all under 50,000 USD a year. Meanwhile, the average salary by state in the US in 2023 is about 59,400 USD.

Because of job opportunities and high salaries, STEM, Finance, and Business majors currently attract the most international students in the US, including Vietnamese international students.
 
According to the 2022 Report of the Institute of International Education (IIE), 70% of more than 20,700 Vietnamese undergraduate students in the US choose to study STEM and Business Administration. The remainder are interested in graphic design, art, and nursing.
